The 1st Forest Row Scout Troop has grown so fast in recent months that it is now bursting at the seams with waiting lists for all the sections. It needs new volunteers prepared to commit just a couple of hours a week to ensure children in Forest Row can all participate in Scouting. Could that be you?

The role would be to assist Scout Leaders in delivering the Scouting programme, helping to run games and activities during meetings, and supporting the children to achieve their badges and awards. And, of course, you can have a go too. We have a very diverse programme of activities, which includes archery, camping, kayaking, navigation, pioneering, backwoods cooking and much, much more. If you’re unsure about whether Scouting is for you, why not take the ‘Four Week Challenge’? Volunteer for just one evening a week for four weeks and you can see if Scouting is for you. No commitment. Contact the Group Scout Leader Matt Hatton: for more information. Flexible options are available for those who aren’t sure how much time they can commit.
